Procession

While waiting for the traffic lights to change suddenly I could hear singing from the Catholic Church in central Cambridge. Next thing there’s a long procession led by a choir coming out of the church and heading down the street. At the front, four men carried a bier with a Mary figure on it. Behind them walked other choristers and church members.
I have no idea what the procession was marking but it was quite surreal to watch it from the car.
