"Stay in line, Malcolm!"

The doves were parading around the field with quite the precision.  Of course, there's always one that can't seem to follow the group.  I learned the other day that the Mourning Dove is granivorous, a new word for me, with seeds making up 99 per cent of its diet.  That is why it is important to let things go to seed in the late summer and fall.  They are attracted to my wee meadow for that reason, lots of seeding grasses in there.  Another beautiful day...we are on a roll.
