Lovebirds

As the name suggests, lovebirds are known for the loving, attentive bond they form with their mates. There is a small group of these lovely colourful birds in the wee zoo in Calderglen Country Park.

The extra is wee Burrowing Owl, also called the Shoco. They live underground in burrows they've dug themselves or taken over from a prairie dog, ground squirrel or tortoise.

It was such a sunny morning that it was difficult to get the best photos .... we will return on a dull day.
