We were all up very sharp this morning to ensure Simon got to the airport in good and proper time. As it happened, the trip was a lot easier and quieter than I expected. The hire car was dropped off in mere moments and we were only three minutes from the bag drop and a coffee before it was farewell time and I found my way home by bus. 
We will miss Simon and the house seems quieter and a lot less busy this afternoon.
