Is it a tree or a bridge?

Had a walk by Carr Mill Dam in St Helens, before lunch and before the rain was due.
I've never noticed this tree before which has grown in an unusual way, forming a bridge across the muddy ditch.
While I was there I thought to have a quick look at one of the stages of one of my 2 lab caches that I have there, "A Lakeside Walk". someone recently logged that the the information boards had gone or they missed them. I found that they'd been removed. This was a blow as the question for that stage of the lab cache asked for a date from one of the info boards. It's one you could find by google but nevertheless, the point was to bring people to the information boards and their interesting facts!
I've altered the question and answer but hope the info boards will be back soon.
It started raining later in the afternoon and soon became quite persistent and now it's heavy. Saves watering the plants. Should cool things down a bit more too.
Did a little cleaning in the house today, but nothing major. This morning I woke up feeling more refreshed than I have in ages - no idea why as I had trouble trying to get off to sleep last night - the sciatica was playing up, presenting itself as a severe itch on my leg and foot which you'd think would be better than the pain but I'm not so sure! The usual barking dog was in full force - it's obviously one that is kept outside. It  rarely shuts up but eventually you tune out and get to sleep. At any rate, I got out of bed feeling much less tired than I have in a while - wish I knew why then I might sustain it!
