Southmead Lion & Parking
You can't visit Southmead hospital, Bristol, without taking a photo of the lion with the sore paw. It always amuses me, that is once a year I get amused by the way, when I go for my check up since the kidney transplant. They always ask me how Ian is getting on with my kidney and my answer is usually the same. "He's doing really well, on continuous holidays and cruises and playing golf. In fact he's doing a lot better than me lifestyle wise" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I elaborated that a bit, I don't say all of that, just the first part.
And it's so nice to have a Motorcycle Parking area at the hospital, and for free. It's the reason I always go on the bike, other than I would anyway. Parking with a car there is a real pain in the neck and in the wallet!
Anyway, the check up went well, and she did give me a possible reason for my occasional dizzy spells. They usually only last seconds, and are infrequent. She told me it could be the tamsulosin tablets (to help with my swollen prostate). They can cause lower blood pressure, which was shown when my pressure was 117/60. Not alarming but my father had low blood pressure, he died when he was nearly 84 so I've got about 9 years left!
