Blackpool Airshow

I had never been to Blackpool, but it's reputation had reached me.
When I realised the Airshow was on I suggested to Jess we'd have a day/night out. She was up for it. :-)
The weather was excellent, huge crowds along the esplanade and a fantastic display. Red Arrows in the main and a montage in the extra.
We sampled the "delights" of Blackpool in the evening, rides on the tram, a ride on the Carousel at the end of the North Pier, a decent Chinese meal, (mine was anyway), some spinning about in a Northern Soul club and then to a retro 70s/80s/90s Soul Bar. The evening was punctuated by some interesting street scenes, odd characters, and a bar brawl. Pretty much as expected and a fine night out.
Back to the hotel (The Savoy), The similarity with it's London namesake ended at the name.. 3star apparently, if it was 3 then I hesitate to stay in a 2star. 
I've been way behind this week (sold my house in the middle of it) and spent most of the day trying to catch up with backblips.
