Peace at the Piece Hall

for now. Tomorrow it will rock to the sounds of Status Quo part of the season of ‘Live@the Piece Hall’ this summer. Other groups that have/are featured are Blondie and McFly.

Looking very different from back in April when we ( ATN community choir) were part of the launch of Calderdale’s celebration of 50 years as a local authority. It rained heavily then. Today started wet but mid morning a very warm sun was out so I put out my washed bedding and we set off to Halifax.

Mission was to go to Friendly Framers as I have two embroideries to be framed and they are good and relatively reasonable.

We carried on into the town and availed our selves of a free coffee at M & S before doing a bit of shopping. Just a top up of fruit really as we’ll need to shop again later in the week when Grace and John and the girls are coming on their way back from their Scottish holiday.

When we came out and walked to the Piece Hall the sun had disappeared, as you can see, but it was very warm and muggy.
A nice walk around. A very large stage as you can see matched only by similarly large bars at either end of the square.

Back home that warmth has done it’s  job drying my washing but I think more rain may be on its way.

No singing today as our leader is away enjoying his Wedding Anniversary.

Thanks for your concerns yesterday, feeling much better today
