Squirting Granny !
Can you pack any more into a day?! Euan's Mum and Dad headed southwards this morning and we accompanied Euan into the St Ives Estate on his bike to spend some time in the playground via feeding the ducks. Much see-sawing, swinging, assault coursing, sliding ensued on a very hot morning before we took to the way home again via the sitting tree, a family tradition with Euan having his photo taken in its friendly boughs. I first sat in the tree with the knobbly face when I was pregnant with Euan's Mum back in 1983.
Once home, it was time for lunch after which mini neighbour L arrived to play with Euan so the marble run was erected outside as was our old faithful North Face tent to give them a play space out of the sun. All the cuddlies joined them in the tent and there was something of a pillow fight followed by the water pistols appearing and much hilarity as everyone quickly became wet. As I retreated to the kitchen to begin dinner, it was suggested that some quiet time watching Dip Dap might be a good way to come down and cool off.
Mini neighbour L was collected by Dad J, Euan wolfed down his pasta and then as the day finally cooled we went up to the allotment to water the vegetables, with Euan communicating with Grandad via the Lagganlia walkie talkies! He very quickly took to the 'language' of radio communication and gave himself the handle 'Super Jumper'.
Allotment and Granny's flowerpots watered, the bath was run and finally one little boy was soundly asleep.
Tomorrow we take the trains to York to meet Nana Margaret at the Railway Museum.
