Bicycles

The bicycles may give a clue to the location. We took the sprinter train into Utrecht and had a pleasant afternoon walking around the canals and the cathedral area as well as indulging in some pavement café culture. We did not expect it to be as warm as it was but the temperatures are similar to the heat wave from where we have come. Utrecht is a very pleasant city on a manageable scale. Lots of people were sunning themselves on the banks of the canals and swimming so the canals must be clean. I don’t think you would do that in the UK at the moment!
