MORNING DRIVE

It's Motorhead Sunday and today's offering is from the Morning Drive experience at Road America.  A few times a year, Morning Drive convenes at the Tufte Center at Road America.  Car enthusiasts come together for a track tour and an impromptu car show of their various automobiles.  There's also coffee, juice and donuts and a guest speaker.  Today's speaker was Elkhart Lake resident and long time racer at RA, Mr. Walter Vollrath.

This one of Walter's racers...a 1973 Chevron 73-20.  I have many many photos of it on track and you can read the litany of it from the sign board next to the car.

EXTRA:  Just one of many cars that showed up for the Morning Drive.  Not sure of the year as the owner was inside listening to the speaker.  But it's a Dodge Challenger R/T Scatpack sporting a 392cu.in. Hemi engine boasting of 485hp w/475 pounds feet of torque.  It's a real growler and sure to get your attention anywhere it is.
