Beautiful day in Kent, we were so lucky to have a weekend of such lovely weather.

We packed up and checked out of our Airbnb, then went to find some breakfast. We ended up walking further than expected but found Forts - such a good breakfast. I was influenced by the girl on the next table to have the cheese toastie and oh boy, potentially the best I’ve ever eaten.

We spent a few hours wandering around Margate, popped into the Turner and had an ice cream (apricot sorbet for me, so nice). Played a round of crazy golf, I won by 2 points but also managed to injure myself with the club (never had a bruised sternum before so that was new!).

We decided to hit the road but stop somewhere along the way. We settled on Whitstable and found a beaut little wine bar for a couple of glasses of Kentish rosé and some snacks. The owners were so lovely, they’d only been open for a couple of weeks - hugely recommend Vinko if anyone’s in the area.

Back to Ma’s house by about 7, we ordered a Thai for dinner and I was in time for the family zoom.
