Friday: Taxi Rides

Pride takes place on 10th August in Belize so today we hosted a brunch for 40 members of the LGBT community and allies.  It went really nicely - large enough to be lovely, small enough to be intimate.  This model taxi was one of a few features we had dotted around.  These are my two colleagues, Ashanti and Yancy, acting as driver and passenger respectively.

In order to be respectful, we adopted the theme that has been adopted locally for Pride although I have to say I really didn’t like it.  This year’s theme is ‘There Is Nothing Wrong With Me’………It feels obvious to say that I know there is nothing wrong with me but it’s definitely revealing in terms of local attitudes.

Anyway, we posted some pictures on our official Facebook page and the first comment was ‘Deviants’.  Job done!

On another note, K and I were back at the gym tonight for the first time since we went on holiday.  Our trainer was horrified at how weak we had become.
