Three of us went to Castle Naze (up to Buxton, turn right in case you want to know) and found it quite windy. We put all of our extra clothes on and climbed a couple of routes, but with the wind increasing in strength it wasn't much fun, balancy routes up slabs were definitely out! We ate lunch and decided to go somewhere more sheltered.
Fi has raved about Darlton Quarry to me and Mick always prefers sport to trad, so we went to the quarry. We climbed three routes and enjoyed them all, and d'you know I felt a bit stronger.... although it's difficult to tell, but we had a good day!
A couple of shandies in the pub in Calver and home to cook dinner and watch Gardener's World :-)
