Straw

More challenging walk today, but felt confident, but was careful in getting wrapped up in the straw.

First time this year I was able to walk into the orchid field tucked behind the Minster. This year Green Southwell who have carefully nurtured and managed this area for over 40 years prohibited dogs (even if on a lead) and never had both gates at each end open at the same time.

Never seen them mow a track around the edge before, but I guess they wanted to avoid compressing the soil given it was a little waterlogged.
