En-plenair at Purleigh

A short walk and some relaxing en-plenair painting of the fab view at the back of All Saints Church Purleigh (I need to work on my buildings), followed by an indulgent fish finger sandwich at The Bell; a window seat with a fab view - towards Maldon this time. B had a call from Broomfield - she now has a date for her procedure. 

Next a very blustery swim with M from Osea Beach. We battled with the waves towards the steps and were glad that we did it, but both agreed that a coffee was needed afterwards. 

Then a lovely chatty run with Soul Runners to Northey lsland. Lots of us, so plenty of catching up and encouragement for everyone.  

Then home for Olympics catchup - such a disappointing race for Bol. Then Holloway ran the hurdles 110m like a cheetah.  I'm not sure what the Americans are having for breakfast,  but I definitely want some! They seem to be running away with the athletics golds. KJT is keeping my blood pressure high in the Heptathlon; fingers crossed for her tomorrow.
