Orthodox

At the end of our street is the Garrison Church. It is now St John's.

The building is a striking piece of architecture in Colchester, made of wood and bright white.

A few years back it was "sold" to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. I have recently requested to take a portrait of the priest and some of the icons inside.

Oscar and I were walking past it yesterday and listened to the beautifully harmonious bells calling the congregation to prayer. Far more musical than Anglican or Roman bells.

I was going to AudioBoo them but then they stopped.

Maybe God doesn't do social?
