Strawberry Fields Forever

We have a lot of fruit farms around us. We have, for example, Wilkins & Son just down the road.

So Oscar and I have decided to check them all out rather than go to our usual, Jannings, on Mersea Island.

It is something of an understatement to say he likes strawberries and raspberries. He wouldn't thank you for sweets.

We set off. I put a postcode in Google Maps on the iPhone and Oscar operates as navigator, "left here...straight on..." You get the picture.

These are wonderful times for me to cherish.

When he finds a good plant with lots of fruit I hear him shout through the bushes, "Oh this is a jackpot plant."
