The Heron

We met up with friends Steve & Julia, midday, at Bathampton (nr Bath, Somerset, UK) to do a cycle ride along the canal towpath to Trowbridge (Wiltshire). For the most part the rain held off and it turned out to be a pleasant day with a couple of coffee stops.

This week's W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge theme is 'Natural World' and my pick of photo's from the ride is of a Heron that allowed me to get a few feet away from it as a canal boat motored past, near Hilperton Marina on the outskirts of Trowbridge. Lovely to see it so close.
