Mum and her ducklings

It has been many years since I seen Tufted Duck ducklings, they are dark brown in colour and can be quite difficult to spot.

I took Holly to Rouken Glen this morning ..... weather conditions  were not too good ...... dull and quite windy and without the sunshine the water was looking very murky.

I spotted the duck and I thought that it was a couple of Little Grebes ducking and diving nearby. Using the zoom on my camera I realised that the wee feathery balls were ducklings.
