At work, we split the teams ready for the next sprints. I rushed a mushroom omelette between meetings. I didn't pay much attention to Paris 2024 since much of this afternoon's Olympic coverage focuses on skateboarding. Our 16-year-old entry in women's skateboarding took bronze, it looks like I missed an interesting event.

After work, I went to pick up some parcels. Included were some additional solar lights for the garden. As we were packing up for the evening, I looked outside and saw they were already lit: it seemed that they must have come ready charged. They're so bright compared to the existing lights that they make the other almost invisible. I decided to turn off the mode that flashed so as not to distract the neighbours.

While I was chopping vegetables into tiny pieces to create the evening's chilli, PY did some more varnishing. In spite of the rain earlier, the doors seemed very dry, so we were able to get another coat on. One of the parcels included wood filler to repair some of the winter damage. Hopefully, by the time we have finished, they will be good for another couple of seasons.
