Mill on the Floss

A day of catching up on gardening and house, having been away for a week, but also feeling  tired after  a series of busy days. 
The Mill on the  Floss rose is still flowering well despite the torrential rain of four days ago. 
A stonkingly great  Prom concert tonight on TV with John Wilson's Sinfonia of London playing American music: Wynton Marsalis's new piece "Herald, Holler, and Hallelujah", Charles Ives's "The Unanswered Question",Aaron Copland's "Billy the  Kid" , the  exquisite Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" , Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue", and  finally  John Adams's " Harmonielehre".
