Poppies

I was up early, to pick up some work.  I sent it on to a colleague and said I would log on again later to give her a hand.  There are so many people off just now, and there is too much work.  I was feeling guilty for not being at work – which I know I shouldn’t.

Once work was done, I went out to the pop up bakery and picked up some bread, baguettes and treats.  Once home I summoned up the energy to go for a run.  It was a lovely day, but very windy and my run felt like very hard work, and I was so very hot.  I was glad to get home.  The last buit is all up hill and was a killer.

Once I had recovered, I made sandwiches for lunch with a fresh baguette – mine was delicious – I assume BB’s was too!  Later in the afternoon, I logged on to work again, and my colleague was delighted to see me We had a helpful chat to catch up with where things were and I then did some work on the report we are pulling together.  We both logged off around 5:30.   I then got myself sorted out to make tea, except I couldn’t find the recipe.  It was a potato stew with prawns and peas, which I have made many times, so I improvised and it was fine – but I forgot to add a chilli.  The boys didn’t seem to notice.

Thankfully I took another picture of the flowers I blipped earlier in the week – just because they were looking even lovelier, with lots more poppies blooming in the sunshine.
