Our festival was opened by none other than the President - Michael D Higgins.  He is the chap on the left but I couldn't take my eyes off man in the rather magnificent uniform. No idea who he is.
I then had a quick walk round the town and it was absolutely packed. Food trucks and bars were doing a roaring trade. A lot of the bars had a band of some sort and buskers were on every street corner.
Very different from the usual Sunday afternoon!
