Floral Display & Blue Plaque

We had a nice meal at our hotel last night…and afterwards sat playing ‘Rummikub’ with Mrs madwill’s brother until the restaurant closed…

This morning after breakfast we reconvened in Ashby de la Zouch for coffee and another natter!

Walking around town I spotted this blue plaque on the wall of an old house (now a Spanish restaurant)..the plaque reads

“The Stag & Pheasant…in the 19th century run by Mr King in his front room as an ale housel.

I liked the collection of assorted bottles which are appropriate to the building’s former use. Rather a nice floral display too.

After our coffee we headed our separate ways..and we got home mid afternoon.

Been out for a quick walk..just 2.4 miles today…and collected some milk from the village shop!

Got a lot of photo sorting after my walks this week..also a bit of blip in catching up to do….
