Dancing Between Shadows

Even later in the evening, the sun is still very strong, despite being lower in the sky. Long shadows lie across the prairie flowers as dusk beckons. Through gaps in the tall trees, beams of light pick out little pockets, in a wonderful serenity. Petals of yellow coneflower, almost reaching their end, droop as their characteristic dance concludes.

Almost anything I attempted to improve the image was to its detriment, save for minimising a few distractions. The hazy background light is sublime.
