Rufus

A late entry (it's 3rd August as I'm writing this) as the last couple of days I"ve been wrapped up in so much stuff, especially Rufus. 

I knew he had a problem with his tail when he came back home on Monday evening, but wasn't too worried.  Today however, he was growling if you went near it so this afternoon we took him to the vet who shaved the end few inches of tail to reveal a heavily infected wound which is not good. Rufus was so distressed that the vet had to sedate him, and so in today's photo he is still coming round, once we got him home. Back to the vet on Tuesday to see if the antibiotics are sufficient for its healing. 

After settling him at home, to let him slowly wake up, Robin and I then walked up the road to visit Anita and Dan who'd invited us for dinner.  A lovely evening and delicious food, conversation and wine flowed. 

Rufus was much improved in mood when we got back. Fingers crossed that it will mend. We watched a couple of hours of Olympics - exciting stuff.
