Riotous Flower Bed in Queens Park

Normally I would have gone with Len to the market but it was already hot and I didn't feel like it. I needed to wash my hair.

But I bucked my ideas up by lunch time and we all drove down to Queens Park in Loughborough collecting Basil from the groomers on the way. He looks such a slim, trim boy now.

The café does ham, egg and chips and lukewarm latte but we were able to get a table in the shade where a balmy breeze swept through from time to time. Afterwards, Len took Basil for his constitutional while I went to photograph the splendid flowers. How could I not have realised that the camera battery was about to give out?

And Len can't just sit somewhere and wait, he has to get home. Enjoy this photo of one of the flower beds.
