An Umbel of Fennel

The flowerheads of fennel remind me of the shape of cow parsley flower heads. In fact, fennel is related to wild carrot, and another name for cow parsley is wild chervil. But the two are not directly related.

Another hot day hoping for the thunderstorms that had been forecast but which I suspect will not happen.

One of these days, I'll get out. The cottage garden flowers at Oscar's Pumpkin Patch are enticing and they have a cafe and marquee now.
