Fremantle Prison

Today after a trip into Perth CBD for a visit to the Apple Store we headed to Fremantle for a prison visit fortunately it closed to inmates in 1991!
It would have been a tough life in there although much of our impressions are base on our lifestyles now.
Maybe prison should be more harsh if it put people off breaking the law but I doubt it would.
43 men were hung in Fremantle and 1 woman as until the late 60's there was a woman's section too, only murderers were hung.
Fortunately I enjoy my freedom!
