Tubular Cosmos

I was up and off early to walk to Bingley for the train to my recorder lesson.  Nearly missed my train watching the final stages of the Women's Triathlon, then nearly missed my stop watching the final stages of the Women's Triathlon!  Thankfully, tutor Fiona was happy for us to give up five minutes to watch the finish with Beth Potter taking the Bronze Medal.

After my lesson it was a quick get home to watch the men's.  Goodness, what a climax with the wonderful Alex Yee achieving the Gold medal when we all thought he would have to be content with the Silver.  Then there was the Women's Rowing photo finish, the Women's Diving and the awesome BMX competition with the best commentators in the job!  The first time I have heard a BMX rider being compared with Fleetwood Mac's album 'Rumours'!  What a day.  I had to go out in the garden to lower my blood pressure.

So what to blip before Pilates?  Tony planted four different kinds of cosmos this year and these ones emerge in tubular fashion and are this lovely deep colour.

Now I'm waiting to see if Leon Marchand can do the double in the Pool.
