Frankfurter Sandwiches

For years I have wanted to see a show at the Minneapolis Centennial Showboat and finally got there. This showboat sits on the Mississippi River in St Paul and has a summer theater put on by the University of Minnesota Theater Department. The show was a melodrama called Sweet Revenge. The audience is invited to boo and cheer the villains and the heroes. Probably the best parts were the multiple musical olios. Entertaining bits between the acts of the play. This Frankfurter Sandwich (or as I would say, hot dog), flanked by Miss Catsup and Miss Mustard was one of the funniest, I thought. There was very fast costume changing going on, as 12 actors did the entire show and the olios.

Before the show we toured the Flat Earth Brewery and tasted some beer, and went to a Mexican Restaurant in St Paul. We arrived early to the showboat so we could enjoy some time on their deck overlooking the St Paul skyline.
