Loquat

This is growing in a nearby garden, in a big tub, and I had to look it up, because these trees are very rare around here. The fruits are edible (it's an Asian relative of apples)  and I might steal one just to try it.

Today was too hot for a walk, again. I don't know whether to admire or pity the Olympian athletes who are performing in the scorching sunshine.
