The Secret Garden

Trying to beat the heat by going out for early morning walks. I left a bit late this morning at 7:15 am and by the time I got home, just after 8, it was already too hot and I was walking pretty slowly to avoid feeling too hot.

Tomorrow, I'll go an hour earlier, more like 6 am.

I pass this side entrance to a house that has a rather wild, unkempt garden on my usual evening walk. I do love the steps up to the small gate framed in greenery.

All the blinds are down in my home after an initial early morning airing everywhere.

Honey seeks out cool areas to lie and likes the tiled areas best for coolness. Her thick fur makes her feel hot, so I brush her daily to remove the loose underhairs.
