Still Rockin'

A Couple of Muppets ...

... trying not to grin selfconsciously as they wait for the camera to fire.

It's a cooler day here with a bit of cloud cover which is quite a treat although I hate to say it! It's Bastille Day and there are lots of festivities going on in the local towns and there will be fireworks later on although I'm not sure whether we'll see or hear them from here. My brother-in-law (Bruno, Chef de Gendarmes) will be on duty at the top of Mount Ventoux in charge of security and crowd control as the Tour de France completes the longest stage of the race and passions will be high as France roots for one of their men to win the stage on this important day for them (there have been no French stage winners so far on this years tour). I hope it all goes smoothly and I think it would be good to have a French stage win.

Us? We had some people over for coffee this morning but apart from that we're just having a quiet day and will be going up to the restaurant for a meal later on. I have to say that it's not a bad life!

Tomorrow is our last proper day of holiday, after that it will be the trip back to Santander and then the overnight ferry home. That in itself will be enjoyable and it looks as if we'll have a smoother return crossing.

Thanks for keeping on looking in at our travels you lovely blippers!

David
