Loud Or What!

A pair of sandhill cranes landed nearby and decided it was important to sound off, repeatedly. They are loud.

To give an idea, here is an example.

After a while they walked off down the lake shore, still making their bugle calls.

Apparently they can be heard up to 2.5 miles away. I can believe it.
