Spiky? (MM549)

Plenty of things around here I wouldn't want my fingers too closely involved with.

The good news: I appear to have won with James's back brake!  But (there's always a but) I noticed the gear cable is frayed when refitting the wheel.  Fortunately, I do have a spare and it's not a difficult job to replace it. 

I'll sort out the front brake after the summer - it needs the brake fluid changing but James can have it back for the rest of the holiday. It will probably pick up a few more battle scars - but that's part of the fun :-)
And - go Tom Pidcock - 40seconds lost to a puncture and he still won the MTB gold at the Olympics today.
A note to fellow bicycle repair (wo)men:  If anyone asks you to bleed a set of older Avid Elixir disc brakes - think of an excuse and run away!
Hint: Tom's bike has Shimano brakes :-)
