Week 2 backblip
We packed up this morning and drove the short hour and 20 minutes on to our second campsite. Sitting just above Glastonbury it couldn’t be more different to our last site, but both are lovely in their own way. This is probably more ‘us’ - rough and ready. On a farm, we could pitch wherever we wanted, and there are lots of tents, a tipi, and a couple of regular caravans. The biggest bonus was the sun and once we were set up, we just sat and read. I’m still on my first book. I have written another chapter today though, and my word count is over 59,000 so I should hit the magic 60,000 words this week. That will be 3/4 of a book I think. I’ve still got a lot in my head to write, so a complete book is in my sights. When I get home I’m going to send it in bits to my friend in who I know will give me honest and objective criticism. Then I’ll probably cry a bit, and then rewrite it! Lol
So nice to have sun. We just have 4 days here. Lots to see locally…but reading and resting is very much on the agenda. This holiday already feels to short.
Wish I could retire…
