Day at a Time

Mono Monday: Spiky

Echinops in the garden. No sign of the blue flowers yet but the plant looks healthy. Thanks JacZero for hosting.  The garden has done well in our absence. I've picked a big bunch of sweetpeas and their scent is a delight. Last night we had an unusual meal of courgette, runner bean and potato surprise - all from the garden. I was in bed very early and slept pretty well. That's a good thing as there is a busy week ahead.

Our grandson will be here soon for his routine Monday with us. Looking forward to catching up on his news. He will be interested in the chaps up ladders here. The outside paintwork is being done. I can't remember when this last happened and the woodwork is not in a good state. There is a lot to do and I'm glad of another dry day so that progress can be made.

It's nice to be home. We did have a wonderful time in Shetland though.
