Ivy and a butterfly

The sun shone. The garden rose to it and was a buzz of insects. Everyone was enjoying the return of summer! I cut the grass and some watering was done for the flowers that were showing signs of dehydration. This butterfly was feasting on the Ivy pollen on the fence. Not sure what this butterfly is called. We are also uncertain as to the best time to trim the Ivy. It’s always so busy with birds and insects!
