Lovely First Cosmos

These early Cosmos blooms looked sunny today despite the sun being in short supply. These are in a pot by the front steps, we have two pots in the back garden too but very few flowers there yet.

I did quite a bit of gardening this morning but my approach at the moment is a little and often as there is so much to do.

Managed to time coming in for coffee with seeing the first GB medal in the women’s synchronised diving.
Last night’s opening ceremony was certainly memorable if nothing else,  I’m sure it was good for the athletes being in the boats  on the Seine and at least watching on TV there was plenty to see which can’t have been the same for those who were there, especially in the rain. I liked how they used the magnificent buildings of Paris and Celine Dion’s rendition of Piaf at the conclusion was wonderful.
Watched the cycling this afternoon and the highlights of the Rugby Sevens.
Hopefully the sun will be back there and here tomorrow. The forecast in both places is for it to start to warm up.
