Planters

One of several planters along my front walkway. The first year I started looking after the garden here and the owner was in NS for a visit, she told me she didn't want to make any changes in the gardens. Of course I do try to keep the goutweed, the horsetail and the star of Bethlehem under control. There are some decent plants there but not a lot of color in the summer. So I have tucked some large planters in between some of the plants. They are big enough that I can use them to make a statement, and the neighbors do notice them.

Work went well today, the students were happy, they got to have a Friday afternoon pool party. We finished a mulch job for a client this morning. I used to work for him, then he started doing most of his own work again. Now he wants me back on a biweekly basis until early September, and it will continue next year.

Off to the south shore tomorrow to pick up some daylilies from a grower friend. It's supposed to be sunny all weekend.
