This is one of my first gardens, I have been working on this property since 2005. Originally I had a Japanese maple in this corner, but after several years, the trunk split and the tree died. I replaced it with this Strawberry Vanilla hydrangea which has been growing well. It is about 5 or 6 years old now. The daylilies have been divided several times over the years and some clumps will need to be divided again this fall.
There is a long weekend coming up, Aug 5 - 7. I reserved a room at a motel near Digby for one night, it will be nice to get away.
