british summertime....

As i look out on grey skies and rain, this new postbox topper that has appeared locally put a big smile on my face this morning!!  It's been a bit quiet for toppers recently so good to see at least 1 back!  Such clever people!!

A short walk to the creek this morning after taking stuff to the clothes bank, and had hoped to see Whimbrel that had been spotted there... of course no sign today! Just egrets, gulls and a mixed up mallard (wild/domesticated duck mix!).  And we've had the hairdresser round so put the world to rights with her
