Two (years)!
Seven Thirty Days..
capturing Ben and poodle
Mr Leo Chops!
730, crikey! I only originally planned to cover the summer holidays in 2022! I guess blip's quite addictive :-)
Thanks to anyone that stops by, I'm not very good at keeping up with the community, as things get busy here but I do appreciate any views or comments and I browse around when I can!
It's interesting to have a record of life to look back on, even just for a couple of years. This period has been quite a journey for us. We're so much more embedded in the social care world now, accessing support for the first time and recognising it's OK to be thinking ahead and planning Ben's future, in fact more than that, we're now really understanding that it's vital that we do look ahead so that we can make choices that will build a happy and secure life for him. It's a lot to process but that's where the poodle comes in, to keep things light :-D
Today Ben has been at respite, so I've cleaned, washed (bedding not just myself!), fishmongered, pharmacied and then I made myself scarce so that older teen could have a few friends around. I'm loving that there are days where he feels comfortable bringing people home now :-) I had a big chat with the social worker, she's finalising a family assessment of us that might inform what kind of setting Ben can access for his post 16 education next September and she needed some extra info on his diabetes. Leo and I have had a few nice long walks under shady trees and it's felt like quite a good day.
Oh and the photo is obviously disappointing, you always think there'll be a clever idea for the big Blip Days.. but no! Also my proper camera is dead again :-( so it's just a phone shot of two cooking apples in a local park, where they planted an orchard a few years ago. It was harder than you'd think to get just two apples in shot, which is a mixed blessing, I like that the orchard is doing well but I really did have to contort myself to produce the vision of only two for my Two Year Blipperversary :-D
Happy 730 everyone :-)
