Another day, another forest!

So, so, so, so Wet!
Soggy walks and dog and Us.
All things hung to dry.

Being away from home is hard when it's wet!  You carry on regardless but inevitably you run out of dry things! There's washing machine here but tumble dryer and obviously the washing line is no use!  Our coats got wet this morning and they were still damp when we went out this afternoon :-(  Having said that the scenery is still beautiful, we love the drama of it all.  The photo is from Whinlatter Forest, we followed such a lovely trail along brooks, streams, waterfalls and so much mossy undergrowth.  Ben has been pretty good.  Leo had a brilliant time but he is on my list because he woke up at about 2:30am this morning and whimpered and barked until I went downstairs.  He woke Ben up and I was so worried Ben wouldn't be able to fall back to sleep that I ended up staying downstairs with Leo to keep him quiet.. I did doze but it was frustrating, we're not sure quite what it is about being away that it causing him so much trouble at night.  He's had nights away before and not been like this.  My hypothesis was that maybe there's a noisy owl who hoots in the early hours!  But Mr KCNQ2Haiku thinks he's just unsettled and lonely in the night.  Sigh.  Either way, we're not sure how to make it better, so fingers crossed for a better night.
