Brown Water, Blue Water

I once read a book called Brown Water, Blue Water: Running the Amazon from Start to Finish. I think this photo I took while visiting Playa Linda would be the perfect cover shot if they were to ever re-releae the title. The river that enters the ocean just north of the RV Park was running full force from our recent mountain rains and spewing muddy water into the sea. It created an interesting sight, alternating patches of brown and blue that would most likely have shown up better had the sun been able to break through the clouds. Of course, without the rain-bringing clouds this phenomena wouldn't be visible at all.
