Tiger feet

Chilling out in the Jardins des Plantes in the fine southern city of Montpellier with frogs, dragonflies, a terrapin, the local mother-and-baby club, and a litre-and-a-half of really cheap white wine. Having seen surprisingly few street cats so far, this poor wee pregnant mum appears, a stunning, silvery tiger-striped thing, at first hunting jauntily, then coming to plaintively say hello just in case we have any handouts. Alas we don't, but spend the rest of the holiday carrying around charcuterie just in case we are befriended. I do hope she, and her cubs when they come, will be ok.
