Trumpet bloom
Morning walk was fresher this morning.
Put a washing load on and out to dry.
The weekends in July are Open Studios in Cambridge and the county. For the first time my former work colleague and friend Debbie was displaying her artwork. I cycled across town which was an absolute nightmare with tourists clogging the roads, suddenly stepping off the kerb to take selfies.
It put me of my stride and I took a turning which added 15 minutes to my journey as cars were queuing on the road and there wasn't enough room to safely pass by. I arrived frazzled but relieved to be safe and out of yge crush.
It was good to catch up with Debbie and see her new work. She paints mandalas with themes from nature in them. She gifted me a painting some years ago - extra.
Getting home was again horrendous. Eyes had to be looking absolutely everywhere. Summer and weekends are not pleasant in the city unless crowds milling about chaotically are your thing.
Back home read a bit in the garden then tackled some rampant ivy with secateurs, loppers and saw. My hands have had enough gripping for today.
Finally Biden has done the right thing. Watched and listening to him was painful and sad to see and hear.
Feeling exhausted, should sleep well tonight.
Pleasant evening everyone
