Anothersunny morning but the clouds came in after we got up so decided to go to Cawdor Castle. Interesting place, and some nice contemporary art and modernish furniture mixed in with the heirlooms to give the impression of a home as well as a castle. We think the dowager Countess still lives in the castle, with her stepson and family in a house in the grounds. Had a nice lunch in the cafe and then went for a wander around the gardens and woodland - beautiful planting and got some ideas. Went to Nairn afterwards but didn’t really look like there would be anything to interest us so didn't stop. Did buy some delicious strawberries in a farm shop though. Came home and read until it was time to go out for dinner at Sutor Creek again. Delicious food, but had a phone call from my brother to say my Dad had been in a car accident. No-one else was involved, and he just has a cut on his hand . G took him to A and E to be checked but all the tests were ok, a bit worrying though.
